Nicole Cooper

Voice, Piano, Ukulele

Nicole has taught private and classroom lessons for over 15 years, with a strong emphasis on building a solid technique and building each students confidence and self-esteem. She has her Bachelors and Masters degree in Voice Performance and Vocal Pedagogy. Nicole teaches all styles but specializes in opera, musical theater. Nicole loves using the latest technology to appeal to the younger generations!  She understands that every student is unique and learns in a different way. She bases her teaching on each students style of learning. 

Soprano Nicole Cooper is a winner of vocal competitions including the Chicago division of Lyric Opera Theaters National Competition, making it to the top eight and performing at Carnegie Hall. She has performed internationally touring Scotland, England, Wales and Canada in Persuasion with Chamber Opera of Chicago for the last 6 years.  She has also performed on stages across the U.S. Performances include: Amelia goes to the ball (Amelia) La Traviata (Aninna) Rigoletto (Contessa Ceprano), Don Giovanni (Zerlina), Le Nozze di Figaro (Susanna) Amahl and the Night Visitors (Mother) A Hand of Bridge (Geraldine) Hansel and Gretel (The Sandman) Suor Angelica (Una Conversa), Into the woods (Witch) The Sound of Music (Sister Catherine). She will be performing in the world premiere of Bellissima Opera’s Future Perfect as Rosetta next summer.
